         I don't see how increasing the tire pressure would stress the 
wheel very much, so long as the actual load were not increased.  The tire 
pressure is a static thing, and is exerted only over the portion of the 
steel wheel that is exposed to the interior of the tire.  This added stress 
is very unlikely to cause a problem.  There is the added rigidity of the 
tire under the higher pressure, which could, I suppose, add to the stress 
when going over large bumps; but most travel is not done over large 
bumps.  Can you explain where the stresses come from?  My LR-D tires are 
inflated to 65 psi, and I certainly wouldn't want to overstress the 
wheels.  But, I - just as certainly - am not going to unde-rinflate the 
tires by 15 psi.
