Walt, the Airstream serviceman here in Ocala, has a sweet set up.

He put a big diesel generator, on I beams, in the back of his pick up, under 
the cap. Then he dropped an exhaust pipe down below the truck bed.  Then he 
moved his electric cord from the rear up to the front of his trailer. 

It's simple to plug the trailer into the generator.

 He can be driving down the road with the generator running and a crock pot 
cooking dinner. 

The generator gets the diesel fuel from the truck's tank.
