[A/S] Re: Hickory Interior

Hi 'openrx',

I had mentioned to Carl that some day we might want to strip/sand the
hickory woodwork in our A-S and refinish with a PolyCRYLIC product.
(from the hardware man we spoke with today it sounds like that would
not do any good to refinish our wood since we used our Orange polish
and beeswax...). When we remodeled our home several years ago many
carpenters suggested we use the Minwax Polycrylic because a)it was
effective in keeping the woodwork from turning the yellow color which
happens with polyurethane finish b)it was very fast drying and c)far
less annoyance with fumes.

Airstream does not use a PolyCRYLIC product but one of the
PolyURETHANE finishes. Polyurethanes are good but they need to be
applied better than Airstream has been doing on the hickory woods.
