Re: [A/S] RV Cover-- Alcoa Aluminium Coating

Dear friends in Airstream's:

Since I bought my Airstream (1989, 34' Classic Excella 1000) I have
been an observer reading all the information now for over a year and
gleaning as much as I can. It seems that when I learn something I
have already caused some damage. Yesterday I read about not putting
on a cover on my Airstream for the winter, however the sad part is,
that I did put cover on in the fall. Well I have proved that you
should not use a cover. I can see where the wind blowing on the cover
has caused scuffing marks on the body. The good news is that some
polish seems to take out the marks except for two places. Please in
the future would you all anticipate my stupidity and discuss things
that I need to know, before I do more damage? Since I have areas that
I would like to spray with clearcoat. I need to know if it can be
bought in spray cans or does it have to be applied by a dealer?
