The Allison 1000 transmission is easily the most amazing automatic I've ever
driven.

Towing down the Thompson Canyon from Estes Park, Colorado, I had to use the
brakes perhaps only 3 or 4 times, and then only briefly.

This machine "knows" when to DOWNSHIFT - on its own.  Awesome.  You can
"blame" it all on computers:  It's strictly "fly by wire" on these pickups.

Look, Ma!  No throttle cable!
