That says a lot.

Another thought, and please forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong...

Aren't Airstream trailers built of mostly aluminum, including framing and
floor members?

If yes, I expect that would make leak damage MUCH less potentially
devastating than a trailer framed and decked with WOOD.

The floor our our very first camping trailer literally rotted-out from under
our feet.  I didn't discover the leak until the damage was mostly done.  As
you can imagine, I am now rather paranoid about leaks.
