RE: [A/S] Mystery leak up front
I had a mystery leak up front on my '71. If you haven't replaced all the
vent gaskets with new ones and vulkem, you need to do that ASAP.
I also had the stove exhaust fan shield leaking.
But my front leak was the wrap windows. I could not find it for the longest
time. I even pulled the am/fm antenna off and resealed that.
Turned out when it was raining, and I pushed on the window the gasket was
separating from the window and water was getting in. It was filling up the
bottom of the window frame and finding a crack in the frame seam and running
down the inside of the wall not to be seen again until the water spot on the
floor.
I had to fix it up with some sikaflex to from a gasket seal and that took
care of it.
Now I have a new one I am chasing that's getting the floor behind the fridge
wet....
It never ends. I remember when I was looking to by a used AS, the seller
told me that I did not know too much about them because AS's don't leak.
Yeah right!
