Bob is 100% correct! I will start to pull with a 1968 International 
Travelall this year. My first outing will be the WDCU Chery Blossom 
Rally. But the towing capacities is "only" the start. When you pull 
with a older car/truck you must understand that things wear out over 
time and "must" be replaced and if a breakdown happens you could be 
stuck waiting for parts. Example: Before pulling with the Travelall, 
I've replaced or rebuilt all brake parts, trans, ujoints, hoses, 
radiator, coolers, seals, pumps, carb, etc... The only thing I have 
not replaced or rebuilt is the engine! So have many months of time 
and money I "think" its ready to roll. Trying to find a hitch for an 
older car/truck and be tough. I had mine custom made. Cost me $350.00 
and that was a steal! Not to many people like welding around gas 
tanks. I do think the joy of pulling my 1966 Airstream with a 1968 
Travelall will be great. But it comes at a high cost. When I start 
pulling, there will be a need to bring many extra parts and tools. 
Most of your older stuff(pre 1975-78) can handle the towing. If you 
habe the right engine/trans/springs/etc... Whats the car/truck you 
love the most? I bet whatever it is, it cwill be able to tow.
