Vicki, If you were to buy an Airstream, new or used or an Argosy, 
not only are you getting arguably the best trailer made (we all 
think so)but you truly join a family. It doesn't matter if you by a 
$250k Sundeck Class A or a $1500 fixer up. Everyone is welcome and 
an equal. I have a 1975 trailer that I'm "fixing up". When I pull 
into a campground and there is another Airstream there is an instant 
bond and comradery. The newer arrival is greeted by the unit already 
there. Conversations begin. Stories are swapped. Issues are 
discussed, and life long friendships are made. Even at the factory 
during Homecomming, the guy next to you in the chow line may just be 
Dicky Riegel the president of Airstream. He'll shake your hand and 
make you feel like you're the most important owner there is. I will 
never regret buying my "fixer upper", and I intend to be an 
Airstream owner until I can no longer travel. And then I just might 
live in one permanently.
