Why not look at the locking diff. that replaces the spider gears in the 
middle of the case.  They are much cheaper than something like a Detroit 
Locker where you have to pull the entire case out, unbolt the ring gear, 
bolt the new case in place and set the gears up again.  There are a number 
of models out there, some light duty and some heavy duty, that do not 
require a gear set-up.
