I would consult the Owner's Manual to determine the recommended change
interval - then go with it.

Many, if not most, current vehicles have a MAXIMUM 7,500 mile interval.
Unless your car is operated under conditions specified in the manual that
would REDUCE the interval, I'd go with the max - using Mobil 1.

I take my wife's car and my pickup to the dealership for their quick lube
but provide my own oil - Mobil 1.  This procedure, with it's electronic
"paper trail" on the dealer's computer system, improves my chances of
prevailing in the event of an oil change interval dispute under warranty.
