[A/S] Raising A/S ride height

FWIW, I replaced the axles on our '72 Overlander last summer. I 
specified a higher weight rating than the originals (3500 lb each, 
rather than 2800 lb), and had the trailing arms "clocked" as high as 
the manufacturer would do it (35 degrees) in order to gain as much 
ride height as possible. The original axles had sagged quite a bit 
(the infamous "negative angle" in which the wheel spindle centers 
were actually above the level of the trailing arm pivots). So the net 
result was a gain of about four inches in ride height (with 
accompanying better range of articulation). The work was done at 
Oasis in Tucson, and they ordered the axles from Inland.

So the bottom line is that ride height can be increased on 
Henschen-axled Airstreams, IF you're willing to replace/update the 
axles. Otherwise, I can't see how it's practical.
