[A/S] What is this on outside???

I have a 69 International Overlander - there is lip on the curbside 
just down the side from the dooor that looks like it may be a support 
for an outside table or something..... It is almost directly under 
the outside outlet and is a little more than a foot long. The lip is 
curved and very similar to the track that my inside dining table fits 
into. Am I right about what this is and if I am, does anyone have one 
of these outside tables?
