Re: [A/S] Louisiana Roads

Yes, have tried that, and agree the country is pretty. After a few rough spots in Vidalia, US-84 and LA-28 were nice and smooth until we
got to a point about 12 mi east of Leesville, where the pavement became uneven just like I-10. The uneven pavement continued on LA-8
to the state line, another 20 miles. Or if one takes US-171 out of Leesville to US-190, that pavement also is bad. Not as long as I-10, but
we would like to do better.

We two-lane across TX also, but it is more to avoid the Houston metroplex. The I-10 pavement in TX is a whole lot smoother than in LA.

A fun routing, but too far out of our way -- we were headed for the Livingston-Huntsville-Brenham area. And it still doesn't get us across
LA in one piece.

Certainly some of the two laners in LA are nice and smooth. But too many are no better than I-10. We would like to find a routing that is
fairly smooth clear across the state -- why shake a vintage coach to pieces?
