RE: [A/S] trailer locks

As a fellow Hensley owner, here is what I did.  First of all, I purchased a
pair of key-matched MasterLock padlocks that would fit in the OCL holes (I
no longer use the clips).  When I get ready to store or when camping, after
I unhitch, I put the drawbar back in upside down and then lock it in place
with the OCL and the padlocks.  To also help deter theft, I pull the safety
chains up tight and lock them in place with the same padlocks used for the
OCL.  Then I lower the torsion bar jacks until the drawbar nearly touches
the ground.  I also always have the 12V power killed while the rig is stored
so the 12V power jack won't work (I have the battery box padlocked as well).


So the thing looks really weird sitting there with the drawbar upside down
and almost touching the ground, but it does a few things, it confuses anyone
thinking of stealing the rig, it makes it a LOT more difficult for them and
it provides a more secure lockdown of the Hensley.  BTW, I also have the
trailer ball locked to the Hensley with a pin lock that rotates if anyone
tried to cut it off.  

As was already stated, you can't stop a really motivated thief, but my
theory is to make it as difficult as possible and maybe he/she will look for
an easier target.
