I encourage any of the '04s to take advantage of the recall. We own a 
Safari LS '04. We received our notice of a recall not long ago and made 
an appointment with our no so local A/S dealer.

It was worth the trip!

The grease in the axle/wheel bearings was brown going on black (should 
be red for high temp bearing grease) AND the axle providers to A/S left 
out two of the shims under the wheelnut on the right side....not good!

A trip well worth it.

We are due to go to Arizona next month from N. Calif.
I wonder if we would have made it otherwise?
