[A/S] Re:brake controllers

After pulling though a nasty winter storm in Arkansas the week before 
Christmas through the Ouachita Mountains, criss - crossing the 
Appalachians, cross winds in Texas, and having 10K miles on our 
Prodigy, I feel as though I can comment on this touchy subject.
The Prodigy is a first class controller and is, IMHO, in no way 
inferior to other braking systems, including the hydraulic ones  on the 
heavy trucks I drove years ago. There is absolutely no perceptible 
delay in response, adjustment is simple, the unit does not go out of 
adjustment (at least not over the year I've owned it- which is good 
enough for me).
The Prodigy has a button that can increase or decrease braking 
intensity incrementally as needed, for stop-and-go traffic, slippery 
conditions, etc. This is a wonderful feature and one I found very 
useful while towing in the variable conditions I've been presented this 
year as a full timer.
That said, I love the integrated controller Ford has begun offering, 
and when the time comes to trade in my PSD (after another 150K miles or 
so), I'll definitely go that route.
