Re: [A/S] Bike rack on front of tow vehicle
hi,
another option is the combo... we have a bike rack from the previous owner
that came w/ our 1976 argosy 28'. heavy metal bolted to the frame on the
back. it may be home made. that's very functional. we also have from our
pre-trailer days a set of yakima racks that go on the roof of the pickup.
yakima and thule have several different plans and options for both the roof
and/or the trailer hitch which can go on the front or back when we travel
with the trailer we can also have the roof racks and if we wish to take a
side trip to the far end of the national park or somewhere, the bikes can
come along and the trailer can stay put. a setup that i would look into
if i needed too is the trailer hitch one. if you could add a light weight
2" hitch to the back of the trailer and buy a rack to fit in that, then
when not towing you could slide it into the tow vehicles hitch and use it
for day trips. good luck, lot's of options, jeff.
