You will find you don't need to put the Pink Stuff in your holding 
tanks.  Just drain them.
As they are flat and if drained they will not hold any water that could 
expand and make trouble for you.
That said it is a good idea to run the pink stuff in the drains to keep 
the P traps soft and not frozen.
Make sure the water heater is drained, You need to get air into it so 
it will all drain out.  The bottom of the water heater is curved so it 
a little water freezes it will just push up a little and not crack the 
tank.
I like the bypass valve system and the two way valve just before you 
water filter and pump to suck the pink stuff into the system.   Then 
all you must do is just open on sink,shower, toilet valve one at a time 
until it runs pink.
That will take care of your drains at the same time.
