Re: [A/S] Tom May's lost wheel
RL:
Thanks for the post. I've printed it out to take with
me when I go to the dealer. I had planned to take her
out of town, but after reading your post I think I'll
take it somewhere locally first to check out the
bearings.
None of the bearings were changed out. They will be
looked at and changed before it leaves town for other
repairs.
I do have questions about the recall work. It does
not appear that the lugs were tourqued. I'm not sure
any of the bearings were replaced.
I plan to have all six axles checked out.
The slide extended properly in Montgomery, and came
back in just fine when we left. I did lubricate the
tracks there. The problems I had with the slide last
Spring & Summer were user error. Jackson Center gave
me a quick class, and I haven't repeated my mistakes
since.
The parking king never came back. I did know some of
the other people there, and they were a great help.
Oh, IBT stands for International Board of Trustees.
It is training on how to run a unit, but is open to
everyone. Talk is they are trying to get it so a lot
of the members start attending this as a "winter
international".
Thanks again for the post.
