Newbie needs advice

I have been researching Airstreams for some time, and I'm ready to
take the plunge. I would appreciate it if I could get some advice from
the more experienced forum members on a couple of issues.

From a quality standpoint, which do you think is a better purchase, a
mid 80s to mid 90's Excella or a later model 1999- 2000 Safari?

I have no towing experience, other than small boats, so I have been
looking for a 25' model. What are the major differences in towing and
or parking characteristics between the 25 footer and perhaps a 27' or
28' model? Weight should not be an issue, since my TV is a 2001 f-250
CC PSD. I just don't want to overreach my lack of experience right out
of the gate.
