Re: [A/S] Digest Number 2300
>> 2004 6.0L engine has no problems like the 2003 did.
Okay, to make it clearer, I will change the above to read " The 2004-2005
6.0L engine has no problems like the 2003 did. Yes, Ford has gotten rid of
the bugs in their 2004-2005 diesels. I have first hand knowledge of the
engine ""without"" the problems. My 2004, almost two months old, runs like
a champ. My brother in law's 2004, ten months old, runs like a champ. On
the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forum, 97% of members who purchased 6.0L diesels
(and are members) have had no problems. Ford bought back the other 3% and
replaced them with 2004 and 2005 trucks or money back. (as far as I know,
all but one person took the new truck) That 3% that were bought back were
carted off to Ford's research facility to see WHY they had the problems. I
am sure all manufacturers would do the same, but I KNOW that Ford has done
their level best to satisfy the owners of these problematic trucks. Now if
they would just get around to replacing the pin stripe on mine, I would be
more satisfied.
