If you take care of your gas engine it will last a pretty long time too.
My 1988 Chevy K1500 4X4 with 5.7 Liter is still going strong even after
241755 miles. I also tow a 6X16 enclosed trailer everyday for my mobile lube
business which puts more stress on it than most trucks that tow only once in
awhile. I change the oil every 2-3 months, or after every trip towing the 29"
Airstream.
