Hi David,

My F-250 is a short bed truck... I get the length back by having a crew cab.  
My truck is 21 feet long, the same as a pickup with an extended cab and long 
bed.

If you get a crew cab, short bed you'll be fine. For me, the longer the 
wheelbase the better, within reason.

My truck isn't fun in tight parking lots, but once I figgered out to back 
into spaces it's much easier.
