[A/S] Bronco tow ratings

I want everyone to know that I wouldn't tow an RV with this vehicle, 
but at the same time the tow ratings, that a lot of people on this 
site seem to take as Gospel, have there highest rating for this 
Vachel at 7,160 lbs..I believe that this was in the 2002 or 2003 
year. How do they come up with these ratings? There are larger and 
longer wheel-based vehicles with a lower rating. After looking at 
some of these tow ratings that were in Trailer Life, I probably will 
keep on looking at them each year, but only taking them at grain a 
salt. This, is just my own thoughts, Richard in Southwest Ohio
