We put one of the instant on hot water heaters in our trailer last year.
 The tank took the place of our hot water heater which was leaking.

We love the unlimited hot showers in MN, but once we hit real altitude
(over 6000'), we seem to have problems with it.  It's like the
regulator thinks it's too hot and cuts it off intermittently.  We've
never been able to decide whether the issue is that the water that
we're trying to heat was one step away from ice or whether it has to
due with the need for a higher boiling point that the regulator doesn't
understand.  Not surprising these things were originally developed for
boats as I recall.

Given the choice in a different trailer, we probably wouldn't go this
route again since we love traveling in the mtns.  For a flatlander
though, it works great.
