Re: [A/S] Leaking black tank valve

Christopher,

The valve is manufactured by Thetford.

Most likely you can replace the seals and not have to replace the valve.

Removing it can be "interesting", to say the least.

There should be a rubber coupler that connects the outlet pipe (the one you
hook your hose to) to the Vee pipe (looks like a "Y"). Undo that coupler.

Now, if you are really luckly, there will be another rubber coupler that
connecths the straight through portion of the Vee pipe to the gray tank.
Undo that. if there is no coupler, you need to cut the pipe and purchase a
rubber coupler for re-installation.

Finally, undo the four bolts on the black tank valve. The Vee pipe will
come out with the blank tank valve attached to it.

Replace the rubber seals, clean the valve and re-install.

Good luck!
