Sorry to hear about the scratch. After 30+ years the trailer is bound to end 
up with a few here and there. We are the 7th owners of my '73 Ambassador which 
have a few too, but we still use it. If it was an SOB trailer the sides would 
have had large holes in it. 
The previous owner of ours were nice enough to one of his buddies that he let 
him borrow it. When he backed it in his driveway to load it for his first ever 
trip with it he backed into his carport. Creased the back above the window 
pretty good, but still works. Another owner on a tired trip almost took out a 
gas pump when it scraped it by the fridge access door.
No our '73 want win a prize for mint condition, but in it's time it's provided 
a lot of memories for those who have used it over the years. And in getting 
older it's gotten a few wrinkles here and there. In the 3-4 years we've had it 
I still haven't seen a 1973 SOB trailer on the road, so like Patti said, let 
it be a mark of pride.
Airstreams are pretty tough to beat. I came across another one that was layed 
over on it's side. The street side has a lot of scratches and the Zip Dee was 
bent a little, but still works. Inside was intact except for a picture that 
fell of the wall.
