I just got up for dinner, so I hope this reaches you before you get to 
sleep.  You have to HOLD the slider switch for about a minute after the 
unit is lit.  It is a safety shut off thermocouple, and must have a 
chance to heat up before it will keep the gas valve open.  Also, the cat 
heater will not keep the pipes down in the belly from freezing, at least 
open all the closets under the kitchen and bathroom sinks to allow as 
much heat as possible to migrate into the plumbed spaces.

DON'T FORGET TO OPEN  WINDOWS FOR VENTILATION.  Just a bit on each end 
of the coach, or one window and a slight lift on one roof  vent.

As I said, just got up after dozing off before supper, that's why it's 
so late.  Otherwise I'd say get on the road to here (northeast NM) where 
it is currently 43 degrees (midnight), and we have courtesy parking.
