Jeff,
Don't think you will be happy with the vehicle's towing ability. Others may 
have a different view.
I had occasion to drive ten or twelve different Chevy and GMC models with 
6.2L engines during the early 80's and the one constant seemed to be their 
inability to pull their own shadow up a hill. Did real well on level ground, 
good fuel economy, but it was a gasoline engine converted to diesel. Seems 
to me that General Motors got out of the light truck diesel business after 
that engine and stayed out until the new Duramax.
