Re: [A/S] New to the Airstream way of life
Jan, in general, I have found KOA parks to be nice, but they have some "dogs"
within their system. Their web site is: http://koa.com/
About any State map will list State Parks or national Parks and the logo
should tell you if they have camping facilities. There are some very nice parks
within these two systems. You should be able to find most of the State Parks
on the Web.
Here is another line for camp grounds: http://www.campgroundinfo.com/
If you are a AAA member, they have a small camping directory.
Like Hunter, I also use the Trailer Life directory.
If you will be doing a lot of camping, you might find this of interest:
http://www.passport-america.com/Default.asp
You have to purchase a membership to get the 50% off. Memberships are
available at Camping World for a discounted rate (free extended length of
membership).
The WBCCI directory also has a list of camp grounds that give a discount to
WBCCI members. The directory also has a list of WBCCI members who offer
courtesy parking.
Another good way to find a great park is to tell this list where you are
going and ask for suggestions. Someone on the list has been there and knows a
great park in the area.
