[A/S] Fiber Optic Rear Light Indicators

We had a 1974 27' Overlander that we got rid of about a
year ago and replaced with a 1990 32' Excella 1000. 
The newer trailer is very nice and we are happy with
it.  However, I REALLY miss one feature from the 1974
trailer.  It had what appeared to be a fiber optic
indicator on the road side of the trailer that allowed
me to see in my rear view mirror what the trailer tail
lights were doing.  The 1990 trailer does not have
this.  It was great for making sure you had trailer
lights working.  I have not seen this on any other
trailers although I must admit I have not looked
closely.  Is this a common option and is it available
in new trailers?
