I have a Sirius radio although it is not a JVC model, and I move it 
from my tow vehicle to inside my trailer and use with a Sony boom box  
as the speaker system.  In any case you need to use a   provided 
external antenna to pick up  the satallite signal as the signal will 
not penetrate the trailer skin.  Mine is with an FM modulator feature 
with permits radio to broadcast (with out wires) to your car or other 
radio   set at a designated  FM frequency.  I enjoy it greatly and it 
is not often that I cannot pick up the satalitte signal where ever I am 
at.
