RE: [A/S] how to use a laptop gps in a suburban
A friend and I both use a Jotto Desk. I had mine in a Suburban and now a
Sierra, my friend has his in a Yukon.
Their web site is: http://www.jottodesk.com/
The computer console is: http://www.jottodesk.com/dept.asp?id=64
It is not cheap but worth every penny. Three trips to Alaska and many back
roads all over the US and never a problem. I tried many other "home brew"
ways and always had problems. The "No holes" mounting of the current design
is easy to install and very stable.
My Earthmate receiver just sits on the dash.
