The WBCCI still is an "owners" organization. It was organized to formalize the 
traveling lifestyle that Wally had been advocating for many years previous. It 
is fair to say that over the years a whole lot of Airstream owners never chose 
to join the club for many of the same reasons we discuss here.
Speaking of history, the latest Blue Beret has a nice article on the early days 
of the club. Including the little known fact that Wally did not want to limit 
club membership to Airstream owners only.
Seems he was more interested in advocating the lifestyle than the trailer.
As it stands now the club remains a club for all owners if they chose to. Like 
many social organizations the focus of the club is established by the voice of 
the members.
