There is a thread and question going on the Love Fords site regarding 
towing capacity of FoMoCo cars.  The question is as follows:

I wanted to ask the group of Ford experts this question; What ford

I was wondering what the towing capacity is for your 1975 Mercury, also 
the wheelbase.  As I remember, you have the 460 CI engine also.
