What a shame that this person is only considering filming in the NYC 
area.  I know that custom and well maintained originals are 
everywhere, but will he find enough in that area?

He should at least consider flying to Los Angeles.  From what I 
understand, a company out there guts and remodels old Airstreams for 
movie stars to use on the set.  Came across the web site a while back 
and can't remember the company name.  Some pretty wild interior 
photos as you might imagine, no two were exactly alike.
