Re: FirstTimeBuyer Advice

Greetings Tony!

Welcome to the world of Airstreaming!

There are a number of resources that will acquaint you with the
items that should be on your check-list as you inspect a coach for
potential purchase. Probably one of the most often cited resources
is below:

http://www.vintageairstream.com/rr_topics_pricevscondition.html

The Price vs. Condition document guides you through a number of
critical areas that arecritical to monetary value of a particular
coach. While written about Airstreams, the same basic
considerations apply to the Argosy as well - - the Argosy just tends
to be slightly less expensive with fewer options.

Another knowledge source is cited below:

http://www.airstream.net/FAQ/FAQ_index.html

The souce above has a number of Frequently Asked Questions regarding
acquiring, restoring, and enjoying Vintage Airstreams.

For particular questions you might have about a praticular coach,
you have found an excellen resource in this group. In addition, you
will find that there are at least two other active groups that have
a termendous amount of data on Airstreams and one of the two focuses
upon the Vintage coaches and motorhomes.

The source cited above covers all vintages of Airstream products and
is a wealth of information and activity.

http://www.airstream.net/vaclist/index.html

The source cited above is an E-Mail list-serve that has an optional
digest format. The central focus is with Vintage Coaches. While
the site is operated by the Vintage Airstream Club, membership is
not required to participate in the E-Mail discussion group.

Good luck with your search!
