Simply tell them that the slide out motor seems to engage for just a second  
when you activate the light switch, but that this only happens when the  slide 
out is retracted. I suspect that one of the wires got pinched in the  
mechanism, and is receiving a current from the adjacent wiring, light outlet or  
switch. Another alternative is that the excessive rain water caused a short  
circuit somewhere.
