I can't comment on what might have been done to the drivetrain... From 
outward apperances, the rig was a big Airstream being pulled by a 
standard Sedan... 

I know there are lots of after market things that can be done to the 
drivetrain... I seem to recall that they even select special wide 
profile tires ... I don't remember the name of the dealer in Canada, 
but they are towing specialists and not just a hitch dealer... As far 
as the engine, the engine in a Chrysler 300 would make a Pickup proud.
..-  Someone told me that the engine in a Corvette is a lot like the 6 
liter block in my truck... 

A search of the Canadian dealers should turn up the towing specialist.
