[A/S] Glacier Park camping
We're planning a two week trip through Montana for the last couple weeks of
June. Does anyone have any favorite, don't miss spots that we should be
aware of? We're interested in out of the way places with unique museums,
art scenes, and, of course, nature. Also, any recommendations for great
campgrounds (that accept large, gentle newfies which hopefully won't be
mistaken for a black bear) would be appreciated, especially in or around
Glacier Nat'l Park.
We're driving west by way of 94, but skipping Little Bighorn and Yellowstone
because we were there last year. Also planning to spend time around
Livingston and Virginia City. Then, we're looking for suggestions for other
places in the midwestern part of the state. After that, we're meeting up
with family in Victor for a few days before heading to Glacier. We've heard
the Charlie Russell museum in Great Falls shouldn't be missed, so we want to
see that on the way back east. After that, we're undecide on whether to
come back on 2 or through the center of the state back to 94.
Anyone familiar with this area of the country and have any thoughts?
Oh, and thanks to everyone who answered regarding my question on replacing
the 8 track unit. You confirmed what we had been thinking. We decided to
hold off on that though after investing in an awning this spring.
