There is more to it than just four wheel drive. You also need the 
right tires. 
Four wheel drive with the street tires from the factory will do you 
little good.
I speak from experience. I got into heavy snow with 4x4 and the 
wrong tires and still needed a tow.
Remember, it's not really four wheel drive it's two wheel drive (one 
on the front & one on the back) unless you have locking 
differentials.
