The "Tow-Haul" button is supposed to boost the line pressure in the
transmission so that the clutches will hold better, and it raises the shift
points so that the engine revs higher and produces more power when towing.
On my '01 Z71 with the 5.3 engine and 4.10 axles, the trans will not shift
into overdrive untill about 61mph, and shifts back to 3rd at about 58mph.
One thing that I have noticed when using the tow-haul, is that it seems to
"freewheel" more when not pulling.  When I let off the gas, the tach drops
back to idle.  I don't know if this is normal or not.  I usually put it in
3rd and take off the tow-haul when going down hill.
