The general thoughts seem to be that a cover that touches the finish should 
not be used.  General opinion seems to be that the cover will rub the finish on 
the Airstream and wear through the coating.  I have seen covers on a steel or 
aluminum frame that would be OK.  The frame supports the cover so that it 
doesn't touch the Airstream.  Looks similar to a car port.
