Hunter, I'm not sure why they do that because at least
on the Safari line they use Valtera.

The nice thing about the Valtera cap is that the
termination cap with the hose connector has the strap
that is tied to the sewer line.  You replace the
factory supplied cap and easily and permanently.  You
can't lose the cap.  

On my Classic the Thetford termination cap with the
hose connector has no strap so at the end of a stay
you have to take that termination cap off and replace
it with the regular cap that has the strap.  You lay
that termination cap on the ground and get distracted,
you end up leaving it behind.
