[A/S] Cingular Media option/internet connectivity
I have not looked online, but I spent over an our with a rep, he actually
called techs over to his desk, documented everyting in the "file" on my account.
the tech rep said the Siemens Phones wireless Bluetooth, my iBook and
quicklink software would give me FULL connectivity to the TRUE internet. he assured
me. I am going to pick it up this weekand and try it. As I have overnights in
Denver, Boston, and Chicago next week, that should test it out well. I have
15days to return the phone and go back to my regular phone and service.
I plan to also check out the GSM coverage for places I fly, and places I go
in the Airstream, most notable, Lansing, and the Dade City area.....there has
to be a Cingular GSM signal.
just have to get the bluetooth USB adaptor for the iBook, download the
SmithMicro software and try it out. guess the iBook and cellphone have to be within
50 feet of each other
As soon as I get things up and running I'll report to the group
I know, for 20bucks a month this DOES seem too good to be true.
sincerely
Dan
