Fritz - thanks for this info!  I am particularly interested in their 
"special purpose units" - as they offer a top-loading option - which
would certainly seem practical - in terms of not losing cool air as
easily when opened - in keeping with the traditional ice box design 
found in boats etc.... And they are apparently useable either as
a fridge or as a freezer.  That is a nice option if needed 
occasionally.

Anyway - these look like a really interesting option for someone 
willing to use electric only - which I am.
