Dan, 
Had you considered going with two of the EU2000 units, which can be
electrically connected to function as one 4000watt unit.  This combo is
even quieter than the EU3000 and provides more power, not to mention
being far easier to load and unload.  Also, you can just use one when
the Air Conditioner is not needed.  There are several other A/Ser that
have taken this route.  Two, EU2000 can be purchased for about the same
(+/-) as a single EU3000.  This is what I intend to do.  Just a thought
