Jay,

That is exactly what happened with my 02 2500 Suburban last Aug. I was 
pulling out of my driveway towing a 03 Safari with a Hensley Hitch. I 
don't know what caused what-the Hensley caused the receiver to twist or 
the hitch bent causing the Hensley to crash. Either way, I was stuck!

Chevy told me they never heard of such a thing and Hensley declared it 
couldn't have been the fault of the hitch. On the internet I found a 
number of people who had the combo of Hensley with GMC factory receiver 
that had the same problem. I replaced mine with a class V other brand.
