Hunter, I would highly recommend getting a "safety can" for carrying 
your gas in.

It's a heavy metal can with a spring loaded lid. It holds any pressure 
in, and if tuned over or dropped won't spill. We use these to carry 
gasoline for the rescue equipment on our fire trucks.

I doubt wally-world has them, but NAPA probably does, maybe Home Depot.

Be sure and get one that has a funnel with it.

One thing about them though, because they hold pressure you need to 
crack the lid open to relive pressure before you get in pouring position 
or gas may spurt out.
